📍 One of the most remarkable historical mansions in Kayseri, Güpgüpoğlu Mansion, now serves as the Ethnography Museum. Dating back to the 15th century, this magnificent structure is considered one of the finest examples of Ottoman civil architecture.
The museum houses an extensive collection of daily life objects, traditional clothing, handicrafts, and metal artifacts from the Ottoman and Republican periods. Güpgüpoğlu Mansion: A Historic House of Kayseri
🏡 Güpgüpoğlu Mansion was built between 1419 and 1497, with its final form completed in the 18th century. It is a classic example of Ottoman residential architecture. Over time, the mansion has been restored and divided into two main sections:
Haremlik – The private living quarters for family membersSelamlık – The guest reception areaToday, the Selamlık section serves as the Ethnography Museum, while the Haremlik section has been preserved as a Museum-House, offering insights into traditional Turkish family life.
