İnce Minareli Madrasa is one of the most significant Seljuk-era structures in Konya, built in 1264 during the reign of Sultan Izz al-Din Kaykaus II to teach hadith sciences. The madrasa takes its name from its slender minaret and was converted into the Museum of Stone and Wooden Artifacts in 1956 due to its exceptional stone and wood craftsmanship.
As a closed courtyard, single-iwan madrasa, it exemplifies the elegance and artistic approach of Seljuk architecture. The elaborate stonework and inscriptions on its ornate entrance portal are considered one of the finest examples of Seljuk craftsmanship.
