Established on September 9, 1952, within the Kültürpark complex in a building designed by Bruno Taut, the Izmir Museum of Painting and Sculpture is one of Turkey’s most significant fine arts museums.
In 2023, following restoration, the museum moved to its new home at the Izmir Culture and Art Factory, housed in the beautifully restored Alsancak Tobacco Factory. With its renewed exhibition layout and contemporary gallery atmosphere, the museum continues to captivate art lovers from all around the world.
