🌿 A Brief History

  • Opened in 1937 as a traditional zoo at Izmir Fairgrounds (Kültürpark) on 18 acres
  • In 2006, construction began to transform it into a modern wildlife park
  • In 2008, it reopened in Sasalı on a massive 425,000 m² site — becoming Turkey’s first Wildlife Park

Today, the park is a proud full member of EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria), actively contributing to biodiversity protection and endangered species conservation across Europe.
